Logbook Dashboard – Work Orders

When you select the Logbook tab in the Dashboard module, the Work Orders dashboard displays by default.

The Work Orders dashboard provides information about the current status of work orders created within the chosen time period.

Specify any of the following criteria to filter the information displayed and then click FIND.

  • Region – Select a value to only include data for a particular region.

  • Property – Click the Select link to only include data for a particular property.

  • Activity – Select a value to only include data for work types/subTypes within a particular activity group.

  • Priority – Select a value to only include data for requests that were assigned a particular priority.

  • Request Date Range – Enter two date values to only include data for work orders that were created within the specified date range.

  • Actual Completion Date Range – Enter two date values to only include data for work orders that were completed within the specified date range.

  • Show All – Select this check box to include data for work orders that have been flagged to be removed from SLA calculations.

The dashboard displays the following panes:

The Percent Complete (Total Open and Closed Requests)

This pane displays a table indicating the number of work orders that are in each status, sorted by month.

The numbers in each column are displayed as links so that you can drill down and view the individual work requests that fall into each status.

The % Complete column is displayed at the end and represents all work orders in a status that is flagged as being a "Closed" status, divided by the total number of work orders for a given month. This value is often used for compliance tracking. The % Complete value is not rounded, but truncated to the first decimal point to ensure that the percentage is not rounded up to 100% completion for very large numbers of work requests.

If over 2000 work orders are included in a column, the number is not displayed as a link to prevent poor performance. If this occurs, you can narrow your search criteria to display a smaller number of work orders.

Count by Type (Analysis)

This pane displays a summary of the number of work orders, sorted by type, for each month, displayed in a table. Each number can be clicked to view the associated work orders.

A stacked bar graph may also displayed if the number of work order types is 10 or fewer within a given month and if the date range is 13 months or less. When the specified parameters exceed these limits, the graph becomes less useful and therefore is not displayed.

Overdue (Response or Completion Violations)

This pane displays the total number of work order requests which violate pre-determined response/completion Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the chosen time period.
